We removed the AV and reboot then re-installed the AV with Sophos AV free (for home users). As you may already have noticed that removing and re-installing Chrome does not always work. One of the common issues we saw was that it is AV causing some issues as one of the common things we did was to remove the installed AV. In some cases users even brought their home lappy to office to seek help from IT dept (as they sometimes need to work from home.read emails etc). We did have this issue with a few lappy that had Win 10 2004.
